| Call For Submissions |
| PoetWorks Press is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the Josephine Darner Poetry Award for 2008. This honorable award will be presented to the poet whose work is judged as outstanding among the submissions received. In addition to a cash prize ($350.), ten perfect bound books of a collection (60 to 80 poems) of the winning poets work will be published and awarded. Submissions will be reviewed after the submission cutoff date. All submissions are received in confidence and will not be shared with third parties. |

| Submission Guidelines |
| * Submissions must be original works by submitting author. All poetry forms will be considered. * Poems submitted should be in one Email, copied and pasted and numbered, using the same size (12pt.) type and color (black) font. (Arial or Times New Roman preferred) Due to formatting discrepancies file attachments cannot be accepted. * Eight poems are requested for review, ten should be the maximum submitted. * Previously published poems will be considered if the author has retained all legal rights to their work (a written, signed statement of indemnification will be required from the winning author). Winning author will retain all rights to their work, with an exception of a one time limited release to PoetWorks Press, LLC.. * There is no line limit per poem. Maximum characters (including letters, spaces and punctuation) per line should not exceed 4.75 inches. * Only authors eighteen years of age or older are eligible for consideration of their work. * Each submission should contain author contact information including mailing address, daytime phone number and full legal name. Biographies will not be needed until the winning poet is selected. * Email submissions should contain, in the subject line, Josephine Darner Award Submission. * Submissions should be emailed to PoetWorks@aol.com * Submission deadline is September 30, 2008. The cash award (US$) will be made in December 2008. Publication will occur in 2009. * Selection by judges will be final. By submitting, author agrees to abide by PWP award guidelines and judge's decisions. * A selection of the winning author's submissions will be featured on a PoetWorks Press web site. * An administrative fee of ten dollars (US) should accompany each group of submissions. Money orders can be mailed, or credit card and debit card payments can be made securely using PayPal . |
