| 1. All poems submitted must be the property of the submitting author. 2. All works submitted for review must be original works composed by the submitting author. 3. A maximum of 10 poems will be reviewed from each author. 4. Submissions should be emailed (copied and pasted) in a text format, in one email. File attachments will automatically be rejected. 5. Submissions should include the authors full name, mailing address and daytime phone number. 6. Each poem in a submission should be separated by at least 5 line spaces. 7. Titles should be in capital letters to differentiate between text and titles. 8. A simultaneous submission of an administrative fee of $15. dollars (US) should be submitted at the time of poetry submission. For Internet submissions, we accept credit or debit card payment through PayPal.com, our secure debit and credit card processing agent. We cannot accept personal checks due to the high cost of handling NSF's, however money orders are acceptable. (see address at bottom of page for regular mail admin. fee submissions) 9. All submissions should be emailed to PoetWorks@aol.com with a subject header of "2009 Josephine Darner Poetry Award" Each complete submission will be acknowledged by email. 10. The poet who receives the award will be notified by email and the cash prize will be awarded immediately upon notification by Certified US Mail, the publication part of the prize will be completed within 9 months after receiving the award winning authors manuscript (electronically conveyed) in a an acceptable format to PoetWorks Press, LLC. 11. The submission deadline is November 30. 2009. The award will be made in January, 2010 No Submissions Or Author Information Will Be Shared With Any Third Parties, With The Exception Of Our Selection Editors. | PoetWorks Press is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the Josephine Darner Poetry Award for 2009. This honorable award will be presented to the poet whose work is judged as most outstanding among the submissions received. In addition to a cash prize ($350.), ten perfect bound books of a collection (60 to 80 poems) of the winning poet's work will be published and awarded. Submissions will be reviewed after the submission cutoff date. Poetry submissions will be reviewed and judged independently by our selection Editors. Editor's scores will be averaged and the poet whose submission receives the highest average will be awarded these prizes. |
